Dr. Boone

A third-generation physician, Dr. Boone began her otolaryngology practice in St. Charles County in the 1990s. Her father, Dr. James Vighi, also an otolaryngologist, practiced in the county for 25 years.

A board certified otolaryngologist, Dr. Boone is a St. Louis native who attended Chesterfield’s Parkway Central High School before achieving a degree in biomedical engineering at Northwestern University. She received her medical degree from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine where she was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Societyand recipient of the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Award.

After medical school, Dr. Boone completed her surgical internship and her otolaryngology residency at St. Louis University. During her residency, she received several achievement awards including Cardinal Glennon department of pediatric surgery intern award given to the surgical intern who exemplifies outstanding surgical skill and patient care. She was also awarded the Department of Otolaryngology Resident Research Award given the best resident research project judged by a guest professor. During her residency, she published several articles ranging from newborn hearing screening to intraoperative nerve monitoring.

A fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Dr. Boone is also a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngologic Allergy, St. Charles-Lincoln County Medical Society, the Missouri State Medical Association and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Boone has been an integral part in the development of the electronic medical records implementation at our local hospital and continues to be an advisor for their peri-operative team.

Married to Dennis Boone and mother of triplets, and twin step-children , Dr. Boone likes to say that she now enjoys the privilege of full-time motherhood with the challenge of a full-time medical practice. When her schedule permits, Dr. Boone enjoys photography, boating and travel.

Dr. Conoyer

Dr. Conoyer is a seventh-generation resident of St. Charles County and a second-generation otolaryngologist—head & neck surgeon. He graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart in 1991 and from Duchesne High School as a member of the Class of 1995. He then pursued his pre-medical studies at St. Louis University, where he majored in biology while minoring in philosophy and theology. He was recognized with the university’s most elite students with early inductions into the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society. He graduated summa cum laude in 1999 as one of a handful selected nationwide for early admission to the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Vanderbilt in 2003.

After medical school, Dr. Conoyer continued his medical training in Nashville at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, serving both his surgical internship from 2003-2004 and residency in Otolaryngology—Head & Neck Surgery from 2004-2008. During residency, he authored multiple textbook chapters and original scientific articles, and received the American Academy of Otolaryngology’s Resident Leadership Award in 2008.

Since joining Midwest ENT in 2008, Dr. Conoyer has nurtured special interests in emerging medical technologies and minimally-invasive surgical procedures that improve patient outcomes. Having helped introduce in-office balloon sinus dilation procedures to the bi-state area, he remains among the Midwest’s most experienced minimally-invasive sinus surgeons and regularly hosts otolaryngologists from across the country to teach his techniques. Dr. Conoyer is a co-founder of Metro Sinus, serves as President of Midwest ENT Centre and is the medical director of the allergy immunotherapy department.

Dr. Conoyer is board-certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology—Head & Neck Surgery and has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He enjoys work with local charities, coaching youth basketball and the shooting sports.
